An Introduction to the Chakra System...
Have you ever wondered why when you feel insulted or rejected by someone, it can feel like someone kicked you swiftly in your gut or the space just under your ribs? It is because of how your perception of being rejected affects your emotions and your solar plexus chakra.
Our bodies are highly advanced pieces of organic technology, which evolves in ways that are not yet fully understood by scientific means. Your chakra system is a set of inter-linking energy portals which connect you with Source (God or Higher Self, Central Force) of the Universe. It connects us with our inter-dimensional Beingness that goes beyond our experience of this life. It also grounds and roots us to our Mother Earth, connects us to each other and to all sentient life that appears to be living or inanimate here on this planet and in your unique environment. But it also connects us to the masses of planets beyond our atmosphere, moving through their intricate mechanique, engaging us to dance with them.
A Chakra refers to a Sanskriti word meaning 'spinning wheel or disk' and implies an energy system that permeates a locality of the body and is inter-dimensionally and causally linked to your physical nature, your health, your emotions, your energy patterns, your beliefs and concept of Self and your entire experience of your world. So imagine if we were able to literally see these chakras if we cut open the body just as if we were to be able to 'see' our organs. We would not say that the organs are the 'cause' of an issue or a symptom we are experiencing as problematic, necessarily. We would say that something happening to or with that organ is causing us a heart attack or liver disease or pancreatitis, etc.
You have thousands of chakras in fact, many of them of tiny energy portals that form the fields of potential, causal relationships, auric fields and fully permeate all intricate layers of the body. These layers are not able to be seen by most human's physical eyes and have not yet been detected, much less understood or even acknowledged by most modern sciences. This is something that will soon change in this oncoming Age of Enlightenment.
Various healers and holistic practitioners are already forging this frontier of the introduction of such potent knowledge into a more holistic medical practice. Martina Gruber and Dr. Talambe, for example, recently invented a new diagnostic equipment called the Aurastar2000 (www.aurastar2000.com) which is a biofeedback imagining system that maps the energy systems in the body. This technology combines technologies that are proven by more rote scientific methodology and the experience of two Ayurvedic doctors in reading the body's energetic systems in their practices.
We are entering an Era where more and more people are appreciating the benefits of practices like yoga and mindfulness meditations and beginning to acknowledge the diverse nature of Consciousness in general. Therefore, it will also serve useful for us to learn more about the energetic body systems. In this article, we will start with an extensive exploration of the 7 Major Chakra System. It is a system because they work together in a cause and effect relationship with one another. It is also a continuation of my most previous article on Raising the Kundalini Energy and what that entails in the awakening or enlightenment process of each chakra. The Hindu perspective understands the Chakras as Lotus blossoms, and the Kabbalic perspectives compares it to what is called The Tree of Life. There are many ancient traditions and and orders of monks, etc. who have observed the importance of understanding the powerful nature of these 'energy centers', despite differences in approach or belief system.
While we as humans share many biological and spiritual commonalities, we also share differences. Our chakras each carry their own frequency. The Root Chakra being the lowest, the Crown Chakra being the highest frequency. Not only do our frequencies slightly vary from one person to another, but they can vary with our emotions and with our spiritual evolution. This is why you will hear people talk about 'Raising their frequency' with their process of awakenment (or enlightenment). However, a Higher frequency is not necessarily 'better' or 'worse' than a Lower frequency, even if one might view aspects of each in preference to the other. They simply serve different roles and functions for us. Therefore, the frequencies given are relative.
The following Complete Guide to the Chakra System may be read comprehensively or used referentially. I recommend starting with the Root Chakra and working up from there. This guide is a result of a combination of thorough research, analyzing a variety of perspectives, resonance testing for accuracy and further channeling for clarification and additional information where it felt needed.
Also, the chart I have posted at the end of this article gives a list of guidelines for symptoms that are typical to an overactive or underactive Chakra. A laminated version of this chart as well as a Chakra Alignment Bracelet and Raising the Kundalini Meditation may be purchased at under the Store tab.
